Ding! 60!

I did it, dinged 60 last night. 2/3 of the way done with Powny. At least until Wrath of the Lich King is released later this year.

Last night was a repeat in Western Plaguelands finishing off the last two farms there and also doing a quest I had never seen before where I had to kill diseased Wolves and Bears. The Wolves were a real pain since they were very spread out and mixed in with some annoying Spiders. Once I finished the Western Plaguelands quests I was six bars away from leveling so off I went to Eastern Plaguelands.

My guide wanted me to speak to Tyron in the northwestern corner so I could do three quests to kill Plaguehounds, Bats and Carrion Worms, but I figured since I was so close to 60 I might as well skip them. The quests are pretty tedious. I did however go near the Blightcaller’s house and see the child ghost Pamela in Darrowshire before making my way to Light’s Hope Chapel. At Light’s Hope I did the turnins and got to within one bar of 60.

From here I simply went back to Western Plaguelands, finished up a quick quest and dinged.

Then it was on to Alterac Valley again to spend some tokens and get the Battle Ram. 50 tokens is a lot, but for a basically free Epic ground mount, it was totally worth it. Also, for Season 2 gear I only need 50 Alterac Valley marks and will be grinding honor there anyways, so sitting at around 38 left, it won’t take long. I also transferred 1000 gold from Pownybank to Powny and then realized that 150 Riding only costs 480 gold. I was pleasantly surprised since I thought it cost closer to 800 or 1000 gold. So I still have a war chest of about 850 gold heading into Outlands.

On to Outlands and better gear!
