I begain the night where I left off the other night, in Searing Gorge, completing quests and working my way to 54. I also, through the Looking For Group, interface, said I would join a group in Blackrock Depths, for the heck of it. About an hour into playing I actually got a whisper from a Druid asking if I wanted to go. I asked if he had a full group to which he responded no, but that they only needed dps. I joined and saw it was a Paladin and this Druid and figured ok, tank and healing is all set, they’ll add some more dps and we’ll be good to go. I didn’t realize that the Paladin was level 70 and that he’d just be running us through since he was in the same guild as the Druid. Bonus.
The run didn’t go as well as planned because the Paladin pretty much stunk at his class and his gear wasn’t that great. He also kept going afk because his parents were checking in on him to make sure he wasn’t playing World of Warcraft. Somehow through it all we managed to kill a few of the bosses in there and I picked up a couple new pieces of gear. Nothing super fancy, just a couple better pieces and a few Mail replacements for Leather gear I was still wearing. In the end it was a decent run and I dinged 54 as a result.
Afterwards I finished up the last few Searing Gorge quests I still had and before calling it a night queued for an Alterac Valley to get some more reputation, honor and marks.
My guide says I should go to Un’Goro next, but again, I really dislike that zone and may skip it since I’m 3 levels ahead of it already. I don’t want to waste time grinding on grey mobs that don’t yield any experience just to get quest experience.
