51, Feralas and Tanaris

Apparently last night was escort quest night. I did two of them, both successfully.

The first one was to rescue Shay Leafrunner from the harpies and bring her back to Rockbiter. This one is a lot like the sleeper quest in Darkshore where you have to ring a bell every time she wanders off so she comes running back to you. The toughest part of this one is the mobs that are in the way that you have to grind through to get her out, but still easy enough in the long run.

The second one was to take Tooga, a turtle in Tanaris, back to his wife, Torta, near Steamwheedle Port. Honestly, this quest is a pain on a PvP server, especially in a hotly contested area such as Tanaris. You need to escort Tooga, who is slow as a…well, a turtle, from the Thistleshrub area (near the Un’Goro path) in the southwest corner of the zone to Steamwheedle all the way in the northeast corner. It’s just an excruciatingly long trek through the desert. Thankfully I made it the whole way without running into a single Horde.

Of course when I was resupplying at Steamwheedle after turning in the quest a 54 Troll Mage decided to jump me and wasted me pretty quickly. I honestly wasn’t really paying attention because I was buying arrows and selling grey items when he attacked me. I was a little disappointed that the folks in Steamwheedle didn’t assist me, I am Honored with Gadgetzan, but they weren’t guards so I understand. It would have been nice though.

Next up are a few more quests in Tanaris and then off to Searing Gorge.
