Back to leveling. I didn’t want to waste too much time in PvP because the goal of 60 is still a real possibility. I’m on a good pace and haven’t lost the leveling bug yet. I know I’ll lose it eventually.
In the past I had skipped most of the Arathi Highlands quests and all of the ones that take place in Stromgarde but this guide directed me to complete a good portion of them, including the Princess Trapped questline and the multiple “bosses” in Stromgarde. At one point I happened across a 39 Blood Elf Rogue trying to gank a fellow Alliance in Stromgarde so I jumped in and assisted, quickly dispatching the Rogue. I also came across a different 39 Blood Elf Rogue near the Air Elemental circle of binding who tried to gank me but I was a little quicker and got him first. Unfortunately I didn’t realize he would resurrect so close and he came back and ganked me while I was drinking. Oh well, chalk it up as a draw.
The Arathi quests easily got me 40 and then I moved on to Dustwallow Marsh and a multitude of quests I have never done before. I did the ones near Witch Hill which surprisingly rewarded a ton of experience. I killed a ton of Raptors and Grimtotem Tauren. One of my favorites was to collect some meat and then release it in the center of the Grimtotem camp and watch a horde of Raptors appear and fight the Grimtotem. Definitely a well thought out quest.
I ended the night with a few quests around the crashed Zeppelin and made my way to Mudsprocket. Along the way I dinged 41.
