37 to 39, Desolace and Another Stranglethorn Vale Run

Time to kick it into overdrive, 39 is right around the corner and I’m dying to get back into Arathi Basin and see if the 39 bracket is better than the 29 bracket. I’m hearing good things from the people I come across.

Step one is Desolace and the various quests there, including my first reputation with the Argent Dawn. I got to do the Rackmore’s Treasure quests and surprisingly the two keys dropped almost immediately from the mobs. Per my guide I skipped one of the Centaur quests I’ve done in the past, to gain reputation with the Gelkis Centaur and instead just collected ears from any Centaur I came across. I also did the quests to save the two Night Elves in Thunder Axe Fortress, the escort is usually a pain, but seemed easier as a Hunter.

Before heading to Stranglethorn Vale I ran down into Feralas and grabbed the Flight Path from Feathermoon.

Back to Stranglethorn Vale and again constantly looking behind my back for that unseen ganker waiting to get me. This time I was able to grab a bunch of quests in Booty Bay including another “ear” quest. The Old World has a fascination with ears while Outlands has a fascination with poop quests…I can’t explain it either.

First off I cleared the stealthed Panthers for another mastery quest then cleared Goblins followed by Raptors and then Tigers before doing a turn in run at Nessingwary and getting the next round of mastery quests. From there I killed Sin’Dall and then heading to start collecting ears. There were a few Horde around so I headed into the temple complex and cleared for ears there before working my way down to the Basilisks and then popped a water breathing potion and started collecting fins from the Merlocs. In the past I’ve skipped the Merlocs because they all used to be elites, they aren’t anymore and the quest was pretty easy. The water breathing potion was a must. While collecting fins I also roamed around and collected Blue Pearls for a quest later in the Badlands.

Now for a big turning in Booty Bay followed by a run to Shimmering Flats to turn in a bunch of follow ups followed by a hearth back to Menethil Harbor and a flight to Southshore.

I cleared up the final few quests I had in the Alterac Mountains to ding 39 and ended the day by flying to Arathi Basin and getting the quest to Capture the Farm, Mine, Blacksmith and Lumber Mill. I then flew to Ironforge.

Tomorrow I head into Arathi Basin for some PvP.
